About Jason Pedicone

Dr. Jason Pedicone is president and co-founder of the Paideia Institute, an international organization that teaches Latin, Ancient Greek and the classics through immersion programs, school partnerships, after-school literacy programs and online courses.

He earned his PhD in classics at Princeton after studying spoken Latin in Rome with Father Reginald Foster, the papal Latinist whose summer program Paideia was founded to continue. Beyond Paideia he also runs a tutoring and college advising company and a software consulting practice.

Building a movement

Pedicone spoke at Meriwether Academy’s June 2026 dinner in Nashville, How to Build a Movement, on what it takes to revive the cultural traditions of the West and turn a small circle of enthusiasts into a lasting institution. It is a question close to Meriwether’s own mission of founding a classical boys’ school. He told the story of Paideia’s founding on episode 3 of the Meriwether Academy Podcast, and he serves on Meriwether’s advisory board.
