How to Build
a Movement
An evening with Dr. Jason Pedicone, founder of The Paideia Institute, on the entrepreneur’s role in reviving the great cultural traditions of the West.
Entrepreneurship
in the Cultural Arena
Some men build businesses. Few build cultures. Yet the institutions that have shaped Western civilization, including its schools, its great works, and its renaissances, were almost always founded by individuals who were motivated by far more than profit.
Jason Pedicone, Ph.D.
In 2010, while pursuing his Ph.D. in Classics at Princeton, Dr. Pedicone co-founded The Paideia Institute on a single bet: the great traditions of the West could be revived if they were taught with joy and excellence.
What began as a summer program in Rome is now a global organization with immersive language programs in Rome, Paris, and Greece, K-12 outreach, postgraduate fellowships, and one of the largest online classical communities in the world. Paideia has reached tens of thousands across six continents, building a genuine cultural movement at the very moment most assumed the humanities were finished.
This evening, Dr. Pedicone shares the principles, missteps, and convictions behind a decade of cultural entrepreneurship, and the practical lessons every man can apply to his own work.

Meriwether Academy represents a real-world attempt to define and restore traditional values, especially traditional American values. As such, Meriwether is fighting the good fight and doing a good job of it! Highly recommended.
Seating is limited. This is an evening for men who take seriously the work of building: businesses, families, institutions, and a culture worth inheriting. We hope you will join us.
