Help Meriwether Establish Our Boys’ School
Meriwether Academy is building a classical, screen-free boarding school in Tennessee, where boys study the great books, learn to live on the land, and are formed into men of true character.
Without virtuous young men pouring into our society, our nation is in trouble.
This school will form those men, and your patronage is how this gets done.
The Corps of Discovery
Add your name to the founders’ roll.
America’s first academies were built by subscription: citizens who pledged a sum each year until the school stood. Our monthly patrons, the Corps of Discovery, carry on that tradition. Choose your share below.
Your assistance fuels all of our educational initiatives, from our character development programs for men, all the way to breaking ground on our first campus.

Questions from patrons
Before you give
Anything not answered here, write to warren@meriwetheracademy.com and you’ll hear back from our President.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes. Meriwether Academy, Inc. is a Tennessee nonprofit corporation and a registered 501(c)(3) organization, EIN 27-3280049. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. You’ll receive an emailed receipt for each gift, and we can send a year-end summary on request.
Where does my gift go?
To two things: the programs that are the school’s proving ground (dinners, book clubs, retreats, and expeditions), and the founding of the school itself, including land, founding faculty, and curriculum. Gifts go where they are most needed to bring the school to its first class.
Is the school open?
Not yet. We are in the founding phase. If you are a parent and would like to hear about the school as it takes shape, write to us and we’ll keep you informed.
Can I give by check, stock, or donor-advised fund?
Yes. Email warren@meriwetheracademy.com and we’ll send the mailing address, brokerage details, or DAF information you need.
