The Return of the Hero with Sabin Howard, Nashville, December 11 and 12
Sir,

Your VIP Weekend is reserved. It includes the private screening of Heroic on Friday evening with your guest/spouse, a private luncheon with Mr. Howard on Saturday, and priority seating at Saturday evening’s talk. Please find the details of each below; we look forward to hosting you.

Mr. Howard is among America’s foremost figurative sculptors. With architect Joseph Weishaar, he won the national design competition for the World War I Memorial over more than 350 entries, and spent nearly a decade sculpting A Soldier’s Journey, the 58-foot bronze relief at its heart, unveiled in Washington in September 2024. He will tell us how it was made and why a nation needs heroes cast in bronze.

On Friday you will see Heroic, the new documentary on the making of the memorial directed by Traci L. Slatton, followed by a live interview with Mr. Howard and Ms. Slatton. At Saturday’s luncheon you will have him at one table, in a group small enough that every man gets to speak. It is a fine opportunity to ask the detailed questions that may not be covered in the evening Q&A.

Friday’s screening will be held at Bungalow Studios, and Saturday evening’s reception and talk at the Belmont Mansion. Details for both are below. Saturday’s luncheon is at 12:00 PM, and its location will be sent to you at a later date. Your seat at Saturday’s talk is reserved and held for you, so there is no need to arrive early to claim it.

A confirmation email with these details is on its way to your inbox. Our dress code is cocktail attire. Suit & tie welcome.
