A Special Dinner with
Alex Petkas

This is a special dinner event with Alex Petkas, Founder of The Cost of Glory and The Classical Society, joining our Symposium via video call.

The topic of discussion will be the Life of Lysander by Plutarch. Alex will guide us through an understanding of ancient heroism, leadership, and the cost of glory.

Attendees are asked to study the provided reading materials before the event, which will take around one hour of study to complete.

Alex is a former professional classicist and university professor who specialized in Plutarch’s works on Greco-Roman antiquity. He left academia to create The Cost of Glory podcast, which dramatically retells ancient biographies incorporating insights from Xenophon, Plato, and Caesar to provide practical takeaways for modern leadership. He is also the Founder of The Classical Society.
