Iron & Ink
Symposium
Examining the Architecture of Character
through the writings of Benjamin Franklin
Dress: Cocktail Casual · Address provided after registration
You are invited to join a gathering of thoughtful and ambitious men for an evening of serious conversation, shared inquiry, and the pursuit of wisdom.
An Evening of
Serious Inquiry
Benjamin Franklin has inspired millions of men to live virtuous and innovative lives. The Iron & Ink Symposium uses a curated selection of Franklin’s writings as tools for personal reflection and conversation.
This is not a lecture. It is a structured gathering where each man contributes. Attendees are asked to arrive having read and completed brief writing exercises on the assigned texts, ready to share their thinking with the group.
“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”
How the
Evening Works
The symposium format is built around full participation. There are no passive attendees. You will engage, share, and think alongside a room full of men who take their character seriously.
Prior to the event, you will receive a brief packet of Franklin’s writings along with guided writing prompts. Plan for roughly one hour of preparation before arriving.
The evening concludes at 8 PM sharp, over dinner and wine, in a private venue in West Nashville.
Hosted with
Impact Effect
Jim Morris is the founder of Impact Effect — a company built around the belief that genuine human connection is the most powerful force in business and leadership. Through the Impact Effect podcast and corporate consulting work, Jim helps individuals and organizations close the gap between intention and action, building cultures where character drives results. The Iron & Ink Symposium is a natural extension of that mission: a curated evening where men who take their growth seriously can do exactly that, together.
